Senryus by Val Roy - (C) val2k1 at pm dot me

Senryu (川柳) is a Japanese form of short poetry about humans and their imperfections. They follow the structure of a haiku: three phrases in a 5, 7, 5 syllables pattern.

daffodils wither

daffodils flower
mother curses their beauty
the children wither

lost promises

I hear myself make
promises I hope to keep
even I’ve lost hope
